The legend is back for it's 40th Anniversary. It began in 1985 with the GSX-R750 and now this latest GSX-R continues the high-performance legacy with a 1,000cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, inline engine that is built to perform, both on the track and the road.
With a superbly competitive price of just £17,599 on the road, new GSX-R1000R gets an updated engine with modifications that include a new crankshaft, crankcases, pistons, connecting rods, and a higher compression ratio. The MotoGP-derived variable valve timing system remains.An electronics package comprises an IMU- governed traction control and roll torque control system and ABS system. There’s launch control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and selectable power modes.
